Claim your org
Somebody put your trails on OurHike before you got here. They are live and anybody can walk them — but nobody from your org controls them yet. If you have an email at your org's domain, that is enough to take it over.
- Your address is the check. A working address at your org's domain is what makes you one of them. There is no form to fill in and nobody to email about it.
- You become the first admin — not the owner. The first of three. You can edit and propose, but nothing publishes until two more admins from your org join you.
- Name your other two. Invite two colleagues and the org is fully yours. Until then the submitted data stays live and unchanged.
Your trails are already live. If somebody submitted your sections months ago, hikers have been finding them there ever since. Claiming the org does not change what is published — it puts you in charge of what happens to it next.
If somebody claims an org they should not have. A claim needs a working address at the org's own domain, and a second claim on the same org freezes it for a person to look at rather than resolving itself. There is deliberately no timer: a contested claim settled by a countdown is a claim settled in favour of whoever was patient.
